Dear Buenos Aires travelers,
Since March there has been a strict lockdown in Argentina, which severely restricts our freedom of movement and can only be interrupted for an important reason (work, basic grocery shopping, going to the pharmacy, etc.).
Fortunately, the long lockdown gave the argentine Health system time to get better organized.
A vaccination from England should be available in Argentina from February to protect us from COVID-19. This would serve to gradually open up of our local Economy.
And we hope that Tourism will be activated in a few months, when buses and regular air traffic become operational again.
The local government of Buenos Aires and the Ministry of Tourism is working on protocols that will regulate tour guides, travel agencies and transport companies. These include hygienic measures such as the use of face masks, alcohol gel, limiting the number of people in a car or bus and avoiding large crowds.
We have used this time conscientiously to keep up to date with our studies and courses in tourism and have even diversified our day-job to make ends meet.
The mood of the tour guide team is optimistic, and we are patiently waiting for the reopening of our walking tours through Buenos Aires, which could be seen as an advantage in the current situation with distance regulation.
We look forward to your future inquiries and travel plans to Buenos Aires and Argentina and wish you a good summer and health.
